How we calculate

  1. The list is our shopping list for the guests and menu, in store packs.
  2. Whatever the host brings comes off the list. Everything else splits into slots of about $25 or 5 lb, never smaller than one store pack, so nobody is stuck with a huge bill or a half-open package.
  3. The fair share is the whole party cost divided by guests, for groups that prefer to split money instead of food.
